On September 5, 2016, TPA, an international advisory company, left Crowe Horwath and, as an independent entity under the business name TPA, continued business activity as an independent member of the Baker Tilly Europe Alliance, which operates within Baker Tilly International associating 165 independent member companies which employ the total of 28,000 people in 745 offices in 141 countries.

The Baker Tilly Alliance is a newly-founded strategic alliance of TPA capital group (11 countries of Central and South-Eastern Europe), Baker Tilly Roelfs (a German division of Baker Tilly which employs over 1,000 experts in 12 offices in Germany), and the global network Baker Tilly International. Thanks to this initiative, TPA has significantly broadened its growth potential in German-speaking countries while simultaneously maintaining and enhancing benefits resulting from the membership in one of the biggest global advisory networks.

TPA was founded over 35 years ago in Austria and now it employs over 1,000 experts in 11 countries. In particular, we specialize in servicing the real estate, construction, hospitality and energy sectors. The total value of translations on the real estate market in which we have provided our services exceeds EUR 4 billion.

Explaining the recent development, Klaus Bauer-Mitterlehner, tax advisor, partner and member of the management team of TPA in Austria, said: “Rebranding to “TPA” is an important step in our long-term growth strategy. At the same time, it allows us to better promote our international resources and expertise and to position ourselves even more clearly and independently.

Cross-border advice in Central and South East Europe

In addition to Austria, the TPA Group operates in ten further countries across Central and South Eastern Europe: Albania, Bulgaria, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, and Slovenia. “The TPA Group’s strength in providing efficient cross-border advice to Austrian companies in the typical target markets of Central and South East Europe is unique,” says Leopold Kühmayer, tax advisor, partner and member of the management team of TPA in Austria.
